Digital Health Learning Technologist
Job Description
Within the training pillar of the King’s Health Partners Digital Health Hub (KHP DHH) we are looking to hire a learning technologist to join this exciting new award. We are looking for someone who can combine their expertise and passion for education and learning facilitation with knowledge of health data science and AI.
This role will be key in supporting the learning of those working at the digital health interface – including researchers, industry partners and health care workers developing health technologies.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and expanding our online learning material making sure we can match our training delivery to the individuals needs across the spectrum of digital health through using innovative teaching technology and methods.
This role will see you work with a variety of stakeholders in the expansion and creation of learning resources that cover the award from basic data science skills to implementation of new medical technologies.
The person in this role will ideally have experience of learning design and e-learning content development, including online virtual learning environments. They will have an understanding of how web-based, multimedia and mobile technologies can be used to enhance learning, teaching and assessment and experience of working within Higher Education and/or the NHS would be an advantage. Enthusiasm and commitment to innovative and quality learning methods and experiences is essential.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract till 30/09/2026.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the needs gaps analysis of current training available in digital health and identify key development areas.
- Collate existing training material in digital health and organize it in a structured training course and online resources.
- To work closely with the programme academic and professional services team to design and develop innovative learning & teaching experiences within virtual learning environments.
- To provide expert advice and guidance on the best practice and use of the VLE/LMS to support educational activities including maintain deep knowledge and understanding of VLE activities.
- Developing and integrating assessment and feedback practices which could include using quizzes, software demonstration and reflective practice exercises.
- Work collaboratively with those leading in-person training opportunities to ensure there is cohesion between all training development across the programme both online and in person.
- Working collaboratively with other pillars across the KHP DHH to ensure a coordinated activity.
- To plan and deliver training for programme staff in order to support the sustainability of online training.
- To work with graduate teaching assistants when required to support the development or sustainability of the training.
- Remain abreast of latest technological developments, including hardware/software that may be useful for the programme.
